TORRANCE, Calif.— Brittany Tretbar made the most of her opportunity at the Mt. SAC Relays on Thursday night.
Running in the 10,000-meter Invitational Elite race at El Camino College's Murdock Stadium, the senior ran a personal best time of 34:15.78. The time was more than eight seconds better from her previous PR of 34:24.21 and gave her the fifth-best time in program history in the event. She finished 14th (10th among college runners) overall.
Leading off the night for the Sooners was Eric Alldritt. In his first outdoor appearance of the season, Alldritt ran a 30:30.03 in the 10,000-meter Collegiate Open to finish 11th.
With quality results under their belts, the duo will return to Norman to prepare for the John Jacobs Invitational, scheduled for next Friday and Saturday at the John Jacobs Complex.
