Blankenbaker Wins FloTrack Kick of the Week

NORMAN— FloTrack has recognized Dylan Blankenbaker's epic photofinish in the 5,000-meter run at the Big 12 Indoor Championship over the weekend as the Kick of the Week.  The posted video shows the final turn and stretch in which Blankenbaker is seen running neck-and-neck with Oklahoma State's Hassan Abdi, overtaking him in the final meters by leaning past the finish line.  Blankenbaker finished .02 ahead of Abdi with a time of 14:22.27 to claim the Big 12 title.   It was the first conference title for the redshirt senior and the first of three titles for the Sooners during last weekend's meet.
