Sooners Head to The Woodlands

NORMAN –The No. 22 Oklahoma women's golf team returns to the course this Monday and Tuesday (Feb. 27-28) in The Woodlands, Texas, for The Dickson. The 16-team tournament, hosted by the University of Houston, will be played on the par-72, 6,296- yard The Woodlands Country Club in The Woodlands, Texas.

The Dickson tournament is named after Jim Dickson, the Director of Golf at The Woodlands County Club. Dickson recently retired and has long been a good friend of Houston's men's and women's golf programs. This will be the first tournament hosted by Houston women's golf in its young history.

The Sooners head to The Woodlands after finishing in the top five at the Florida State Match-Up at the par-72, 6,212-yard Don Veller Seminole Golf Club in Tallahassee, Fla. Oklahoma placed fourth logging a three-round score of 864 (E). Sophomore Julienne Soo led the Sooners with a 214 (-2), finishing in ninth place.

Teammates Rylee Pedigo, Ana Ruiz and Hannah Wood all finished in thr top 25 with Soo. Pedigo tied for 13th place with a 216 (E), Ruiz finished in a share of 17th place at 217 (+1) and Wood tied for 25th place at 220 (+4).

The Sooners are set to tee off for the first round of The Dickson at 8 a.m. CT. Live scoring will be available at Golfstat.com.

FORMAT

Teams will compete in 54 holes of stroke play over two days (36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday).
