SEATTLE - Seniors Brittany Tretbar and Eric Alldritt were the lone Sooners who competed on Friday evening at the Husky Classic held in Seattle, Wash.
Tretbar finished 41st in her 5,000-meter race with a time of 16:56.76. There were a total of 77 runners that competed in the race, broken up into four sections. Tretbar improved on her place and time from last year's Husky Classic, when she finished 44th in 16:57.30.
Alldritt followed in the next race, the men's 5,000-meter, and crossed the line at 14:09.91, which placed him 20th out of 58 runners. His time was a personal best and also moves him into seventh on the all-time top 10 list in school history.
Running in Alldritt's section was former Sooner Dan Schubert, who recorded a time of 14:03.84 and finished 15th.
For the remaining OU distance runners, they will have to wait until tomorrow afternoon or evening. Racing in tomorrow's schedule will be Blake Yount and Jacob Goldberg in the 800-meter run at 1:55 p.m. CT, Isabella Rose (3,000-meter) at 2:20 p.m. and Belle Wallace in the women's mile (3:35 p.m.). Moving into the evening will be Jacob Burcham in the men's mile race at 4:15 p.m., followed by Elena Arriaza competing in her section of the 3,000-meter run at 6:40 p.m. The last Sooner to line up for his event will be Dylan Blankenbaker in the 3,000-meter run, which is scheduled to start at 7:05 p.m.
