NORMAN – No. 3 Oklahoma is headed to the Super Regionals for the seventh straight season as the Sooners (50-7) defeated Ole Miss (41-22) Sunday, 3-0, and will be back home next weekend playing for the right to advance to the Women's College World Series.

The seven straight trips to the Supers for OU is the second longest active streak in the country behind Alabama (12). Making its 10th appearance overall, OU will host No. 14 Louisiana-Lafayette this weekend. Dates and times are still to be determined.

The Ragin' Cajuns lead the all-time series 15-11, though OU is 3-0 in Norman and 3-1 in postseason play. Most recently, the teams met four times during the 2014 season as ULL won two of three games during a regular season series in Lafayette, but the Sooners won 3-1 during the 2014 WCWS.

Sunday's win over Ole Miss marked the 25th straight for Oklahoma, four games behind its all-time record of 29 set in 2005. OU has also won 32 of its past 33 contests.

The Sooners have won 16 straight Regional games and 21 of 22 such contests dating back to 2010. During the 16-game win streak, OU has outscored opponents 177-41. All-time, Oklahoma is 61-17 in Regional action.

Sophomore Paige Parker was the story Sunday as she needed just 83 pitches to throw her 13th shutout of the season, which is tied for seventh most in program history.

Parker has earned a win in 21 consecutive appearances and has a 31-3 record on the season. She had a perfect game through 3.2 innings before allowing a single and finished with just four hits allowed and one walk, while striking out nine.

Ole Miss did not get a runner beyond second base as Ashton Lampton's two-out single in the fourth was followed by a strikeout from Parker. In the fifth. Kylan Becker singled and was replaced by pinch runner Paige McKinney, who tried to steal second. OU sophomore catcher Lea Wodach threw her out though, the ninth time in 14 attempts this year that she's thrown out a would-be basestealer.

Playing as the visiting team, OU got on the board in the top of the fifth on a clutch, two-out single by senior Erin Miller.

Freshman Fale Aviu started the inning with a single to right, while senior Kady Self also reached on a fielder's choice sacrifice bunt when Ole Miss' Madi Osias fielded and threw late trying to get pinch runner Raegan Rogers at second. It looked as though the Sooners may squander the chance after a pair of foul-outs to first base, but Miller pulled a 2-2 pitch into right field and Rogers scored standing up.

The Rebels got another baserunner in the sixth on a two-out single by Elantra Cox, but Parker got a pop-up to end the frame.

The Sooners then added a pair of insurance runs in the top of the seventh.

Much like the fifth, Aviu and Self led off with back-to-back singles. Wodach put down a sac bunt to move them into scoring position for sophomore Kelsey Arnold, who delivered a sac fly to center field to drive in Aviu. Miller came through in the clutch again when she singled to right field and Self dove around the tag before crawling back and touching home to make it 3-0 for OU.

Miller leads the team this year in both multi-hit (26) and multi-RBI (15) games.

Ole Miss actually brought the tying run to the plate in the bottom of the seventh as Sarah Van Schaik walked with one out and Becker singled to left center with two outs. But on the second pitch of the at-bat, Parker got Courtey Syrett to pop out to freshman Sydney Romero at third base to seal the win.
