Sooners Conclude LSU Tiger Golf Classic

NORMAN – The University of Oklahoma women's golf team completed the 2016 LSU Tiger Golf Classic in 17th place. The event was played at the par-72, 6,247-yard University Club in Baton Rouge, La.

The Sooners shot a round-three 326 (+38) for a 967 (+103) 54-hole total. No. 3 Duke took the team title, firing an 881 (+17), while No. 4 Arkansas claimed second with an 897 (+33). Tulane placed third, carding a 910 (+46).

Sophomore Valerie Tanguay was the top finisher for the Sooners, sharing 45th place with a 235 (+19) total. Tanguay shot a 79 (+7) in her final round, including an eagle on the par-5 fifth hole.

Freshman Julienne Soo shot an 83 (+11) on the final day to finish tied for 72nd place at 243 (+27), and sophomore Hannah Wood shared 74th place with a 244 (+28) after recording a 78 (+6) in her final round.

Rylee Pedigo, a sophomore, tied for 80th place after registering an 87 (+15) in Tuesday's round for a three-round 247 (+31), and classmate Ana Ruiz shot an 86 (+14) on the day to finish in 93rd place at 258 (+42).
