Sooners Back in Action in Baton Rouge

NORMAN – The University of Oklahoma women's golf team returns to the course this Sunday-Tuesday (March 20-22) in Baton Rouge, La., for the 2016 LSU Tiger Golf Classic. The 17-team event, which features four teams ranked in the top 25, will be held at the par-72, 6,236-yard University Club.

OU is coming off a third-place finish at the Clover Cup in Mesa, Ariz., firing a season-best 873 (+9). Three Sooners placed in the top 20 of the tournament, including a second-place showing by sophomore Rylee Pedigo. Pedigo posted three par-or-better rounds, carding a career-best 211 (-5).

OU head coach Veronique Drouin-Luttrell said she is excited to see how her team performs coming off a season-best finish.

“We've had some great practices the last few days at the University Club,” Drouin-Luttrell said. “We played really well at our last tournament and it should help our confidence moving forward.”

HOST COURSE
The par-72, 6,237-yard University Club serves as the host site for the 2016 LSU Tiger Golf Classic. The club will also be the site of one of the 2016 NCAA Women's Regionals in May.
