Rowing Wraps up Clemson Invite

NORMAN – Oklahoma rowing closed out its stay in South Carolina with five races on Sunday morning in the Clemson Invite.

Leading the way for the Sooners in the third session was the second varsity four crew, who picked up a third place finish in its heat. The boat turned in a time of 7:36.8, besting boats from Penn, Indiana, Dartmouth and Duke. The second varsity totaled two top-three finishes and a fourth place finish on the weekend.

The third varsity eight boat finished fifth in its heat with a time of 7:08.8. The Crimson and Cream's first varsity eight boat came in sixth with a mark of 6:52.9 and the second varsity eight followed up with a seventh place finish in its heat, crossing the line in 6:57.1. The first varsity four crew posted a time of 7:40.8 to finish seventh as well.

Oklahoma will be back on the water next weekend, as the Sooners travel to Kansas City, Kan., for the Big 12/Big 10 Double Dual on Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26.
