OU freshman Valerie Tanguay, who collected a team-high four birdies in the round, fired a 72 (E) and is tied for 24th place.

Sooner freshman Hannah Wood is tied for 53rd place at 75 (+3), and sophomore Alexandra Kaui is tied for 63rd at 76 (+4). Freshman Rylee Pedigo shot an 82 (+10) and is tied for 85th place.

Oklahoma sophomore Maggie Neece is playing as an individual in the tournament and is unattached from team scoring. Neece logged a 74 (+2) and is tied for 41st place.

Sixth-year OU head coach Veronique Drouin-Luttrell said she was happy with how her team performed in the round.

“It's very encouraging to see how well we played today. I'm really proud of the way we fought throughout the round,” Drouin-Luttrell said. “We have two more days on a crowded leaderboard, so we need to keep doing our own thing and playing our own game.”

The Sooners are slated to tee off for Saturday's second round at 10:36 a.m. CT from hole 10. Live scoring and results can be found at GolfStat.com.
