NORMAN – The University of Oklahoma women's golf team travels to San Antonio, Texas, this Sunday – Tuesday (Oct. 25-27) for the 15-team Alamo Invitational. The event, which marks the last of the Sooners' fall slate, will be played at the par-72, 6,450-yard Briggs Ranch Golf Club.

OU is coming off a ninth-place showing at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational, played at the University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, Texas. The Sooners logged a three-round 895 (+31). The sophomore trio of Ana Ruiz, Valerie Tanguay and Hannah Wood shared 20th place at the event, each firing a 222 (+6).

Teams will tee off for Sunday's first round of the Alamo Invitational at 1 p.m. CT with a shotgun start.

Ana Ruiz, Sophomore: Coming off a share of 20th place at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational … Tied for 28th place at the Jim West Challenge (222;+6) … Shared 19th place at the Schooner Fall Classic (143;+1) … Recorded a 74.13 (+2.33) season stroke average a year ago … Posted five top-25 finishes last season.

Rylee Pedigo, Sophomore: Coming off a share of 47th place at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational …  Tied for 36th place at the Jim West Challenge (224;+8) … Shared sixth place at the season-opening Schooner Fall Classic (138;-4) … Fired a collegiate-best 67 (-4) in the first round of the Schooner Fall Classic.

5. Karen Arimoto, Freshman: Shared 39th place at the season-opening Schooner Fall Classic (149;+7) … Hails from Kyoto, Japan … Named to the Rolex AJGA All-America Second Team … Junior All-Star All-American … Won three tournaments during her junior golf career.

THE COURSE
The par-72, 6,450-yard Briggs Ranch Golf Club in San Antonio, Texas, will serve as the host site for the 2015 Alamo Invitational.

FORMAT
Teams will compete in 54 holes of stroke play over three days (18 holes each Sunday, Monday and Tuesday).

ALAMO INVITATIONAL HISTORY
The Sooners have had quite the success at the Alamo Invitational. In 2012, OU won the tournament by eight shots and registered what was then the best 54-hole score in OU history at 848 (-16). In 2013, the Sooners shattered their previous record, carding an 840 (-24) in the event and winning the tournament by eight shots. The team also set a school 18-hole record with a 276 (-12) in the final round.
