NORMAN -- The University of Oklahoma wrestling team begins its Big 12 slate when it hosts No. 23 West Virginia at 2 p.m. CT on Sunday, Jan. 18, inside McCasland Field House.
OU (5-5 overall) is coming off a 24-10 loss against NC State on Friday night, while West Virginia (6-6 overall, 0-1 Big 12) dropped a conference contest to No. 8 Oklahoma State, 35-3, in Stillwater, Okla.
Series History
Sunday's dual marks the sixth meeting between the Sooners and the Mountaineers, and the fourth since West Virginia joined the Big 12. OU holds a 4-1 series lead and won last season's matchup by a 19-15 score on Feb. 6, 2014, inside WVU Coliseum in Morgantown, W.Va.
