Received an at-large bid at heavyweight to the 2014 NCAA Division I Championships in Oklahoma City … Went 2-2 in his first NCAA appearance … Finished season with a 23-12 record, including a 9-5 mark in dual competition … Sealed OU's comeback 16-15 Bedlam victory on Dec. 1 when he defeated Austin Marsden by 3-2 decision … Finished second at Brockport/Oklahoma Invitational as OU won its 15th consecutive title at the event … Took fifth place at the prestigious Cliff Keen Las Vegas Collegiate Invitational, helping the Sooners to a team victory at the event … Claimed award for most falls at Cliff Keen Las Vegas Collegiate Invitational … Won weight class at OCU Open … Eleven of 12 losses came via decision with the other by major decision … Opened season with eight straight match wins … Recorded six decisions, two major decisions and a team-best 14 falls on the season.

PRIOR TO OU: A two-time Iowa State Champion...Ranked sixth nationally at 195 pounds by Intermat and seventh by Clinch Gear...Posted a 43-0 record and won a Class 3-A title after transferring to Ankeny from Ballard (Huxley), where he captured a Class 2-A crown at 189 as a junior... recorded 38 pins throughout his senior season, all of them in the first period...Concluded his senior campaign with an awe-inspiring state tournament run in which he posted three first-period falls and a tech.
