The NCAA Championships will begin with the National Qualifier on Thursday, April 10, followed by the Team Final the following day and the Individual Event Finals on Saturday. This year's Championships will be held at the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, Mich., home of the defending national champion Michigan Wolverines.
"We're excited to be headed to the NCAA Championships as the No. 1 seed," said OU head coach Mark Williams. "I feel we have a very good team and we're looking forward to a great championships."
The Sooners will begin competition in the first session of the National Qualifier starting at noon ET along with No. 4 seed Stanford, No. 5 Illinois, No. 8 Iowa, No. 9 California and No. 12 William & Mary. In the afternoon session starting at 7 p.m. ET will be the host, No. 2 seed Michigan, along with No. 3 Ohio State, No. 6 Penn State, No. 7 Minnesota, No. 10 Air Force and No. 11 Nebraska.
The top three teams from each session will move on to compete for the national championships at the NCAA Final on Friday at 7 p.m. ET. The top 10 individuals on each apparatus Friday will qualify for Saturday's Individual Event Finals to decide who will be individual national champions and All-Americans.
The NCAA Final on Friday will be televised live by the Big Ten Network. All three days will be streamed live on NCAA.com.
OU has sat atop the national rankings the past 12 weeks and recently won its 21st conference championship in program history by taking first at the MPSF Championships on Saturday.
The winners of eight national titles, including five since 2002, the Sooners have qualified for the NCAA Championships all 15 years under Williams and have finished second each of the past three seasons.
