NORMAN -- The University of Oklahoma women's golf team will travel to San Antonio, Texas, this Sunday-Tuesday (Nov. 2-4) for the 54-hole Jim West Challenge. The 12-team tournament will be played at the 6,234-yard, par-72 Tapatio Springs Golf Club.
The Sooners are coming of a tie for ninth place at the Alamo Invitational in San Antonio. OU logged a three-round 877 (+13) to finish 36 strokes behind tournament champion and 23rd-ranked LSU. Freshman Ana Ruiz led the Sooners, carding a 220 (+4) and tying for 32nd place out of 78 competitors.
Sixth-year OU head coach Veronique Drouin-Luttrell said she is excited to see how her team performs in its last fall tournament.
“This is our last event of the fall and I believe we've grown as a team since August,” Drouin-Luttrell said. “We have a very young team with a lot of talent and I hope we built confidence from playing better at the Alamo Invitational. The Jim West Challenge is a new tournament this year and we are excited to be part of the inaugural event.”

FORMAT
Teams will compete in 54 holes of stroke play over three days (18 holes each Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.)
