Sooners Announce 2014 Indoor Schedule

NORMAN, Okla. – University of Oklahoma Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Programs and Director of Athletics Joe Castiglione and head track and field coach Jim VanHootegem have announced the 2014 indoor track and field schedule. The Sooners' seven-meet schedule opens in Norman on Jan. 18.

OU begins the 2014 season Saturday, Jan. 18 in the first Sooner Opener at the Mosier Indoor Facility. The team will remain in Norman to compete in the 14th annual J.D. Martin Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 25.

Following the home stand, OU heads to Fayetteville, Ark., to participate in the Razorback Invitational on Jan. 31-Feb. 1.

Oklahoma continues competing on the road with a trip to the East Coast to compete in the Armory Collegiate Invitational in New York City on Feb. 7-8. A trip to College Station, Texas, for the Texas A&M Invitational on Feb. 15 marks the final competition before the Big 12 Championships.

The Sooners begin postseason competition at the Big 12 Indoor Championships in Ames, Iowa, Feb. 28-March 1.

The NCAA Indoor Championships is March 14-15 in Albuquerque, N.M.
