Sunday's match will mark the last home dual for OU's five seniors: Dillon Dennis, Scott Chene, Bubby Graham, Nolan McBryde, and Keldrick Hall. The group will be honored prior to the start of the match against. Collectively, the five have accounted for 143 wins while at OU.

The Sooners are 1-1 in Big 12 matchups on the year after a win against Iowa State on Jan. 5 and a Bedlam loss to Oklahoma State on Dec. 9.

West Virginia opens its Big 12 season with a weekend road trip to Oklahoma that begins Friday night in Stillwater against No. 2 Oklahoma State. The Mountaineers bring with them one ranked wrestler in No. 14 141-pounder Nathan Pennesi, who will face top-ranked Kendric Maple in his sixth bout of the season against a top-15 opponent.

The Mountaineers hold a 1-3 record on the season, with two of their losses credited to No. 21 Maryland and top-ranked Penn State. West Virginia's sole victory came in the form of a 43-0 shutout over Johns Hopkins in its season opening dual on Nov. 4.

Sunday's match will mark just the third dual between the Sooners and Mountaineers. Currently, the series is split 1-1. The two first met in 1986 when OU dropped a 30-15 decision to WVU, and most recently in 2003 when OU edged WVU 20-18 to take home its first win against the program.
