Went 1-2 at the 2013 NCAA Wrestling Championships in Des Moines, Iowa with one victory over The Citadel's Matthew Frisch (8-2, decision) in the first round of wrestlebacks...Fell out of NCAA competition with a dropped decision (4-1) to Rutgers's Scott Winston in the second round of wrestleback action...A 2013 NCAA Division I Wrestling automatic qualifier at 157 pounds...Secured the runner-up spot at 157-pounds at the 2013 Big 12 Championship after he topped WVU's Jason Luster with a 9-1 major decision, then fell to OSU's No. 8 Alex Dieringer with an 11-3 major decision in the championship bout...Made his second-straight Big 12 Tournament, championship wrestling appearance with a runner-up finish for the second consecutive year....Scored second tech fall of season against Michigan's Michael Carpenter at National Duals...Finished seventh out of all 157-pounders at the Midlands Championships with a 4-2 record after he defeated North Dakota State's Hayden Zilmer with an 8-0 decision...Went undefeated at the 2012 Northeastern duals with a 2-0 record after he defeated Smith of Central Michigan and Dowdy of Cornell with a 2-0 and 4-0 decision, respectively...Escaped the Brockport/Oklahoma Invitational as the 157-pound title winner with a 4-0 record on the day.
AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2011-12):
Concluded the year with a 21-11 record where he posted three falls, three technical falls and seven major decision victories ... Was an automatic qualifier at the 2012 NCAA Championships where he posted a 1-2 record ... Majored NCSU's Colton Palmer, 13-0, in his second bout of the NCAA tournament ... Earned silver at the 2012 Big 12 Championships after falling to MU's Drake Houdashelt in the finals ... Finished fifth at the Midlands Championships where he recorded a 4-2 record ... Won the Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Classic after posting a 3-0 record ... Tied for second on the team with four technical fall victories ... Leads OU with seven reversal in dual action.
AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2010-11):
At-Large selection to the NCAA Tournament where he went 1-2 ... Completed the year with a 19-9 overall record ... Went 11-4 in dual action ... Began the season wrestling at 157 pounds where he went 8-4 overall and 3-2 in dual competition ... Led all Sooners with 12 near falls in dual action ... Claimed the 157 pound Brockport Open Title after posting a 3-0 record ... Finished third among 149-pounders at the Big 12 Tournament.
AS A FRESHMAN (2009-10):
Redshirted. Posted a 10-4 overall record on the season ... Placed third at the Lindenwood Open after a 3-1 showing ... Also placed third at the Oklahoma City Invitational with a 3-1 mark ... Six of his 10 wins came by fall and one by technical fall ... Also competed at the Harold Nichols Cyclone Open on Nov. 14 ... Outscored opponents by a 29-24 tally on the season.
