Men's Pole Vault: Jordan Scott became the first athlete in Big 12 history to win three Big 12 titles in the event. Scott claimed the title in 2007 and 2010 as well as Saturday's result.

Men's Long Jump: Texas sophomore Marquise Goodwin won his second-straight Big 12 outdoor crown and his third-straight overall, counting the 2011 Big 12 indoor crown, with a conference-championships record jump of 26-9¾ (8.17m). Goodwin, in the fifth round, topped what was the leading jump from the first round of Nebraska's Nicholas Gordon who took runner-up honors with a wind-aided 26-8½ (8.14m, 3.3 m/s). Goodwin is the first back-to-back winner since Texas' Chris Hercules won three straight from 1999 to 2001.

Men's Shot Put: Kansas sophomore Mason Finley became the first to win back-to-back conference shot crowns since Nebraska's Carl Myerscough with a winning effort of 64-5 (19.63m). Finley claimed his best on the fifth attempt, and had five throws over 19 meters (62-4). Finley held off a late charge by Texas' Hayden Baillio who took over second on his final attempt of 63-6 (19.35m).

Men's Decathlon: Missouri senior Lars Rise won by 225 points with a 7,808-point effort. Missouri has won back-to-back crowns in the event and, with six titles overall, the Tigers have the most titlists in the event's league history.

Women's Long Jump: Nebraska freshman Mara Griva takes the Big 12 indoor-outdoor double with a winning, wind-aided best effort of 21-11¾ (6.70m, 3.6 m/s). Griva's mark is the conference championship's all-time, all-conditions best and improves her NCAA top seed for the 2011 season. Griva is Nebraska's first women's long jump champ since Ineta Radevica in 2004. ... Both Griva's mark and the best runner-up mark by Oklahoma's Ti'Anca Mock would have topped the conference record, but were wind-aided. However, Mock's third-round mark of 21-5¼ (6.53m, 2.0 m/s) will go in the record books as the co-conference record as it was wind legal.

Women's Shot Put: Texas Tech sophomore Ifeatu Okafor took the title by more than a foot with a 58-3¾ (17.77m) winning toss. For Okafor, it is her first title and TTU's third crown in four years in the event. Okafor's mark is the best mark in the meet since 2006 (Michelle Carter, Texas, 59-0, 17.98m).
