OU Returns to Fall Action Wednesday Night

NORMAN, Okla. — The Oklahoma softball team plays its second of eight contests slated for this fall on Wednesday night as it hosts Western Oklahoma State at Marita Hynes Field at  6 p.m. The Sooners will look to pick up their second 10-inning win of the fall after defeating Seminole State last Wednesday 27-0.

The Sooners pounded out 30 hits in last week's contest while holding Seminole State to just four. OU will be without junior pitcher Keilani Ricketts who is currently with the USA Softball Women's National Team preparing for the Pan American Games, October 17-23, in Guadalajara, Mexico. The lefthander picked up the win Monday night in USA's 12-2 exhibition win over Texas A&M.

General admission for the contest is $6 with students K-12 $5 and senior citizens $4. Children under four will be admitted free of charge.
