Weather Update (Saturday, 10:30 a.m.): Pole vault, high jump, long jump and triple jump have all been moved inside the Mosier Indoor Center. All other events are scheduled as normal. Any updates will be available on SoonerSports.com

NORMAN, Okla. --
The University of Oklahoma Track and Field program is gearing up to host its first home meet of the 2010 outdoor season, the 41st annual John Jacobs Invitational. The meet kicks off Friday with the javelin and hammer throw beginning at 2:30 p.m. Saturday action kicks off at 11 a.m. with field events before the running events start at 12:45 p.m. Admission to the event at the John Jacobs Track and Field Complex is free.

The No. 6 Oklahoma women and No. 9 Oklahoma men will host an expected nine teams including the No. 4 Texas Tech men and in-state rivals Tulsa and Oral Roberts. Other schools slated to attend the meet include Texas-Arlington, North Texas, Northern Iowa, Grand Valley State, Barton Community College and Oklahoma Baptist.

OU fans will have the opportunity to see seven OU athletes who stand in the top 10 on the nation's descending order list, including two who are currently the nation's best in Ronnie Ash (110-meter hurdles) and Brittany Borman (discus). In all, 28 events are slated to include Oklahoma athletes. Katelyn Penner is the only member of this year's roster who looks to defend a 2009 title as she competes in the javelin on Friday.
