NORMAN, Okla. — The third week of the 2010 outdoor track and field season sends the Oklahoma Track and Field program south to Austin, Texas for the 83rd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. The prestigious meet at Mike A. Myers Stadium kicks off Wednesday afternoon with Oklahoma action beginning Thursday afternoon. A total of 36 OU athletes will compete in the event, both individually and as members of relays.
The meet is just the second competition of the season for many of the athletes as just a small group of throwers competed in the opening weekend of the outdoor season.
OU action kicks off Thursday at 3:30 p.m. with K.P. Singh in the men's hammer throw followed by Eric Bailey and Zach Dawson in the prelims of the men's 400-meter hurdles at 5 p.m. Singh enters the meet after breaking the OU hammer throw record with a win at last week's Bobby Lane Invitational, the same meet that saw Eric Bailey claim the 400 hurdles title in. Ronnie Ash is the third Sooner competing this weekend with hopes of establishing a win streak after claiming the 110-meter hurdles title at the Bobby Lane Invitational.

Friday's morning session kicks off at 9:30 a.m. and will feature OU's first relay action of the 2010 outdoor season as both the men's and women's 4x100-meter relays take to the track. The women look to return to the 2009 the relay break the program record en route to finishing fourth at the NCAA Championships.
