OU Returns to Arkansas for Razorback Invitational

NORMAN, Okla. — The Oklahoma Track and Field program returns to Fayetteville, Ark., for the second time this season when it participates in the Razorback Invitational this Friday and Saturday. Oklahoma athletes will also be competing at home this weekend, the third weekend of the 2010 indoor season, as the men's and women's throws groups compete in the Oklahoma Christian Invitational in Norman.

The No. 6 Oklahoma men will face four top-25 opponents in No. 5 Arkansas, No. 11 Baylor, No. 19 Georgia and No. 21 Oklahoma State while the No. 21 OU women face No. 16 Baylor and No. 17 Arkansas.

Oklahoma junior Ti'Anca Mock looks to defend both her 2009 Razorback long jump and triple jump titles this weekend.  Mock opened the season in the USTFCCCA national rankings at No. 7 in the long jump and No. 14 in the triple jump.  The nation's top-ranked men's hurdler will also compete as Oklahoma's Ronnie Ash makes his season debut in the 60-meter hurdles.

Sophomore Mookie Salaam, who currently has the nation's fastest time this season in the 200-meter dash, will face two athletes currently in the top-10 of the USTFCCCA rankings in Baylor's No. 1 Trey Harts and Oral Roberts' No. 6 Marvin Bonde. The women's 200-meter dash will also feature a top-10 battle as well as OU's Scottesha Miller, ranked No. 8, takes on Baylor's No. 2 Tiffany Townsend.

Action inside the Randal Tyson Track Complex begins Friday at 11 a.m. with the women's pentathlon. Saturday kicks off at 11 a.m. with the men's 3,000-meter run.
