OU Golf Stands 10th at Lexus Classic

FRESNO, Calif. - The Oklahoma men's golf squad shares 10th-place through 36 holes of the Fresno State Lexus Classic. The Sooners fired a second-round 294 (+6), tying for the fifth lowest afternoon round of the 20-team field, after opening with a team tally of 305 (+17) at the par-72, 6511-yard Belmont Country Club.
OU was paced by the duo of Ryan Sirman (76-73) and Ben Blundell (78-71) who share 27th at +5 heading to Tuesday's final round. A stroke back is Liam Logan (T36th) after rounds of 77 and 73.
Rounding out the Oklahoma scoring are Riley Pumphrey (74-77) and Chris Wilson (78-79). Pumphrey stands in a share for 46th at +7, while Wilson's 13-over tally places the sophomore in a share of 79th.
UC Davis and Washington are tied for the overnight lead at +8 (584). UC Davis' Phil Huffman holds a two-stroke lead in the medalist race after rounds of 72 and 67.
A bunched leaderboard features 11 squads within 12 shots of host-squad Fresno State and BYU, who currently share third place at +14.
Tuesday's final round will commence with a shotgun start at 2 p.m. (CT). Oklahoma will play with BYU, UC Davis and San Diego State tomorrow.
