AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Oklahoma men's golf squad stands in a tie for 14th after day one of the Morris Williams Intercollegiate, posting rounds of 307 (+23) and 305 (+21) on Monday in Austin, Texas.
Oklahoma State (+1) holds a 15-stroke lead on the 18-team field at the par-71 University of Texas Golf Club, while USC's Tom Glissmeyer posted rounds of 69 and 70 for a two-stroke advantage over OSU's Kevin Tway for medalist honors.
Liam Logan (+8) paced the Sooners on Monday, firing rounds of 73 and 77 for a share of 28th. Riley Pumphrey (+10) was two strokes behind Logan in a share for 42nd after following up a first-round 78 with an afternoon round of 74.
Tied for 59th is the Oklahoma duo of Ben Blundell (77-78) and Ryan Sirman (79-76), while Tyler Rody (80-81) rounded out the team scoring in a share of 83rd.
