EUGENE, Ore. —  University of Oklahoma action at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials ended Saturday in Eugene as Leslie Cole and Marcus Pugh took to the track for the 200-meter dash in their respective divisions.  While Pugh bowed out in the men's quarterfinals, Cole managed to move on to the women's semifinals before being eliminated.

Cole opened the day in the third heat of quarterfinals with the fifth-fastest time, 23.36, of her heat and 16th overall, good enough for the semifinals just over two hours later.  It was in the semifinals that Cole improved her time to 23.24, but was unable to qualify for the event's finals.  The senior-to-be finished 14th overall.

On the men's side, Pugh's trip ended in the event's second heat as the Tulsa native recorded a time of 21.28 but did not qualify for the event's semifinals, finishing 20th overall.

While Oklahoma did not place any athletes on the U.S. Olympic Team, OU will still be represented as Sooner alums Michael Blackwood and Danny McFarlane compete for Jamaica.
