NORMAN, Okla. -- This weekend's 81st Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays will feature a number of the nation's top collegiate athletes, including 25 competitors from the University of Oklahoma. The event kicked off Wednesday while OU's first athlete, Buck Sullivan, does not compete in the men's hammer throw until Thursday at 3:30 p.m. Zach Dawson rounds out OU's Thursday field in the 400-meter hurdles prelims at 5 p.m.
Friday's action begins with running events at 9:30 a.m. followed by field events at 10 a.m. Oklahoma will be represented in all eight University running prelims in Friday's morning session. Latoya Greaves, who claimed the 2008 Big 12 indoor title in the 60-meter hurdles, will run in the women's 100-meter hurdles prelims along with Latoya Heath.
Defending Big 12 Outdoor champion Marcus Pugh will run the men's 100-meter dash along with Jacobi Mitchell. The two return as one-half of the men's 4x100-meter relay after claiming All-America honors in the event in 2007. Sheldon Leith and Tydree Lewis round out the quartet for this weekend. One-half of the women's 4x100 relay that earned All-America honors in 2007 also returns in Scottesha Miller and Leslie Cole.

OU athletes will also compete in three of Friday morning's field events including two Sooners, Latoya Heath and Dominique Jacobs, making their 2008 outdoor debut in the women's long jump B section.
Friday afternoon will see four field events featuring Oklahoma athletes including the defending Big 12 outdoor champion, Scottesha Miller, in the A section of the women's long jump. Miller will be joined in the event at 12:30 p.m. by Toni Smith. Katherine Johnson will compete in the A section of the women's high jump at 1 p.m. while Frankie Green and Latoya Heath compete in the B sections of the men's and women's triple jump, respetively, at 2 p.m.
Oklahoma action on Saturday begins at 11 a.m. with Kevin Snyder and Paul Gill competing in the men's high jump.
Saturday afternoon will mark the triple jump season debut for Smith who captured All-America honors in the event in 2007. Smith, who's indoor eligibility was exhausted entering 2008, will compete in A section at 1:30 p.m., the same time that Shardae Boutte and Tydree Lewis, who finished 1-2 in the event in the Big 12 Indoor Championships, take on the men's triple jump A section. Four-time All-American Chip Heuser continues his quest for his fifth honor in the men's A section of the pole vault at 3 p.m.
