NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma cross country/track and field program is seeking male and female students for team manager positions beginning for the fall 2007 semester.
Athletics managers provide a valuable service to coaches and student-athletes alike. The general duties include preparing for practices (setting up drills, film sessions, etc.) and coordinating equipment and apparel for competition.
The benefits include being paid and hourly wage, usually for 30 hours per week, and taking advantage of the services provided by the athletics student life department including career fairs, computer labs, study hall hours, early enrollment and tutoring sessions.
There is also a chance for managers to travel with the team to meets.
Managers at the University of Oklahoma earn a varsity letter after working for three years.
To be considered, applicants must be enrolled at the University of Oklahoma for the fall 2007 semester and be in good academic standing. An interest in track and field is a plus.
