NORMAN, Okla. -- The date of the high school portion of the 2008 John Jacobs Invitational has been changed to allow the meet to run in conjunction with the collegiate meet. The 39th John Jacobs Invitational will now kickoff in Norman with high school action on Friday, April 11 with the collegians running the following day, Saturday, April 12.
Student-athletes from state high schools will take to the John Jacobs Track & Field Complex before collegiate action heats up. Last year's collegiate version of the event turned out to be one of the best as 35 regional qualifying marks were posted in men's results and 33 in women's and Oklahoma captured eight individual titles.
