LINCOLN, Neb. -- All-Americans Chip Heuser and Scott Martin finished 1-2 in the men's pole vault Saturday night at the adidas Classic hosted by the University of Nebraska.
Heuser upped his NCAA provisional qualifying mark after clearing 17 feet, 2.75 inches (5.25 meters) to win the event.
Martin took runner-up honors with a best vault of 16-10.75 (5.15).
Leslie Cole and Yolanda Goff dominated the short sprints, sweeping the top two positions in both the 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash.
Cole (7.50) clipped Goff (7.52) at the finish line in the 60 meters finals before convincingly winning the 200 with an indoor personal best run of 24.18. Goff took second in the 200 at 24.51.

Like their female counterparts, Ronnie Pines and Marcus Pugh ran 1-2 in the 60-meter dash finals. Pines clocked in with an NCAA Championships provisional qualifying mark of 6.69 seconds. Pugh trailed at 6.76, just .02 seconds off the qualifying standard.
Orlando Slider (6.92) took fifth place.
Dermillo Wise won the men's long jump with a leap of 24-4.50 (7.43), more than nine inches further than the mark of second-place Jared Lewis (23-7.25) of Iowa State.
The quartet of Jasmine Still, Jhavonne Pope, Shquanda Meylor and Tijahnni Newton won the women's 4x400-meter relay with a combined time of 3:43.79. The mark was the fastest in the event by the Sooners in seven years and ranks seventh on OU's all-time performance list.
The men's 4x400 of Leonarde Smith, Sheldon Leith, Zach Dawson and Frankie Wright finished second to Nebraska with a run of 3:12.62.
Shardae Boutte won the men's triple jump over teammate Tydree Lewis. Boutte was the lone athlete to pass the 50-foot benchmark with his leap of 50-8.75 (15.46). Lewis jumped 49-5.50 (15.07).
Frankie Green was fourth with a triple jump of 48-9.00 (14.86).
Toni Smith took runner-up honors in the women's long jump. Smith jumped 19-4.25 (5.90), just beating teammate Portia Nash who was third at 19-2.50 (5.85).
Katherine Johnson placed second in the high jump. Johnson cleared 5-8.00 (1.73), a personal best indoor mark.
Frankie Wright finished third (21.47) in a tight 200-meter dash in which Nebraska's Nate Probasco came out on top with a run of 21.34. Ronnie Pines (21.60) was fourth.
Oklahoma hosts the J.D. Martin Invitational Friday, Feb. 2, and Saturday, Feb. 3.
