One of the most decorated players in OU softball history, Lisa Carey is only the second Sooner to be a two-time All-American. She earned first-team honors in 2000 and third-team honors in 1999. Carey has been invited to try out for the USA Softball Women's National Team in each of the past two years. The 2000 Big 12 Player of the Year after hitting .405, including an amazing .483 in league play, Carey holds the OU career records for hits, runs scored, RBIs, doubles, extra base hits and total bases. She was named to the 2000 Women's College World Series all-tournament team after nailing two go-ahead home runs in OU's wins over Arizona and UCLA.
