NORMAN, Okla. - A total of 20 members of the University of Oklahoma track and field teams were named to the Academic All-Big 12 lists released recently. A total of 14 Sooner student-athletes were named to the first team while six were named to the second-team list. Two Sooners, Brandon DeKock and Stephanie Webb, received special distinction for earning a 4.0 grade point average.
First-team honorees had at least a 3.20 grade point average and participated in at least 60 percent of OUs scheduled competitions. Second-team honorees had a 3.00-3.19 GPA and also met the participation standard. True freshmen and first-year transfers were not eligible.
