(Outdoor) Competed in the pole vault at the John Jacobs Invitational, but did not record a height. (Indoor) Finished third in the pole vault at the Sooner Opener with a height of 14-05.25 (4.40m).

Attended Elgin High School... Oklahoma 4A state champion for the pole vault in 2014 and 2015… Also was state runner-up in 2013… Named Oklahoma's Outstanding Male Athlete in 2015… Was member of Elgin High School state championship track and field team in 2012.

Son of Robert and Miranda Sauerwein… Has one brother, Ryan Gage.
