Went 25-6 in his first year at OU ... (Spring) Finished the spring season at 16-3, leading the Sooners in singles wins … Only OU freshman to appear in every match during the season … As an unranked player, took down Texas A&M’s No. 17 Valentin Vacherot, 1-6, 7-6 (7-4), 7-5, to clinch the Sooners’ 4-3 upset win over the No. 5 Aggies at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla. … Also clinched OU’s 4-3 victory over rival Oklahoma State in the final match of the regular season … Went 3-0 against Big 12 opponents … Named Big 12 Freshman of the Year … Garnered All-Big 12 Singles Second Team honors … Tabbed ITA Central Region Rookie of the Year … Achieved a season-high ranking of No. 85 in the ITA release … Recorded an 11-7 finish in doubles, including a 5-1 mark with Ferran Calvo playing primarily at the top spot ... Compiled a 4-5 record with Bakshi at No. 1 doubles, including a 6-0 shutout of then-No. 3 Will Little and Johannes Schretter of Baylor … Ranked as high as No. 40 nationally with Bakshi.
