Chuck Rodosky, comes to Norman to join the momentum of the new program change.Ā  Rodosky, one of the most successful recruiting and novice coaches in the country, has most recently been selected to assist the US U23 National Team aiding the Women’s Eight and Women’s Coxed Four to two podium finishes highlighted by a dominant Gold in the eight at the U23 World Championships.

Rodosky comes to OU from Rutgers, where he spent three seasons with the team, his third being interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Rodosky served as the assistant coach and international recruiting coordinator.Ā

In just his second season at Rutgers, Rodosky helped guide the Scarlet Knights to the NCAA Championships, snapping an 18-year drought. RU finished 11th at the 2019 NCAA Championships, placing ahead of five other ranked squads and three Big Ten schools. Rutgers claimed its first Big Ten medals in 2019, capturing silver and bronze in two events.

The Scarlet Knights earned victories over four ranked opponents in 2019 and recorded their first-ever team rankings in the USRowing/CRCA Coaches Poll. Meanwhile, Rodosky coached a pair of rowers to international competition as Sarah Johanek (USA) and Ella Toa (Great Britain) rowed for their respective U23 National Teams. Three Rutgers rowers were named 2019 Pocock All-America award winners. Eleven Scarlet Knights were named CRCA Scholar Athletes during the historic 2019 season for maintaining a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA, while fifty Rutgers rowers were named to the 2019 Academic All-Big Team for GPA's of 3.0 or higher.

Prior to Rutgers, Rodosky served two seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting director at Duke. Prior to joining the Blue Devils staff, he spent six years as an assistant at Ohio State. During his initial campaign at Duke in 2015-16, he took the Blue Devils to their first NCAA Championships appearance, as well as a second-place finish at the ACC Championship. For his efforts, he was part of the Duke coaching staff that received Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) National and Region 3 Staff of the Year accolades.

Rodosky oversaw the 2V8 in 2016 as it won the C Final at the NCAA Championships. The crew also took second at the ACC Championship Grand Final. His role with the 2V8 allowed Duke to be ranked 16th by the CRCA in the final poll. The Blue Devils appeared in the ledger five times, tied for the most in a year in program history.

While at Ohio State, Rodosky worked primarily with the first and second N8 crews as well as the V4. Rodosky capped his Buckeye career with his third consecutive NCAA title as Ohio State became the first team in NCAA history to win three-straight national championships in 2013, 2014 and 2015. The Buckeyes claimed an individual national title in the V8, a runner-up finish in the 2V8 and fifth place in the V4. During his time at Ohio State, the Buckeyes captured four Big Ten Championships, topping the conference field in 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015.

Prior to his role with Ohio State, Rodosky served as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Iowa women's rowing program (2006-10). Rodosky guided the Hawkeye first N8 to a third-place finish at the 2007 Big Ten Championships and the second N8 to a third-place finish at the 2008 Big Ten Championships. Rodosky made significant strides in recruiting, producing three N8 crews. He also advanced several novice athletes onto the varsity team each year to race at the Aramark South/Central Region Sprints.

Rodosky participated in the 2000 NYAC U.S. Development Camp as well as the 2001 Nereid U.S. Development Camp. He also holds US Rowing Level III coaching certification. A rower (1995-99) and team captain (1997-99) at Bowling Green State University, Rodosky earned his bachelor's degree in accounting in 1999.
