NORMAN — Oklahoma graduate student Ralford Mullings has been named the SEC Men's Outdoor Track and Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the conference announced Tuesday following a vote by the league's head coaches.

Mullings becomes the second Oklahoma track and field athlete to earn the honor in the program's second season as a member of the Southeastern Conference. Senior BJ Green claimed SEC Indoor Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors earlier this year.

A native of Kingston, Jamaica, Mullings owns a 3.91 GPA while pursuing his Master of Business Administration dual degree. He was named a 2025 CSC Academic First Team All-American and earned 2024-25 OU Athletics Outstanding Scholar-Athlete of the Year recognition.

The award adds to an already decorated career for Mullings, who has established himself as one of the nation's premier throwers. Representing Jamaica, Mullings competed at the 2024 Paris Olympics before capturing the 2025 NCAA outdoor title in the men's discus and gold at the 2025 SEC Outdoor Championships. He was also named the 2025 USTFCCCA National Field Athlete of the Year.

This outdoor season, Mullings owns the nation's No. 2 discus mark at 65.97m (216'5"). His personal-best throw of 69.31m (227'5") stands as the Oklahoma outdoor school record.

Mullings will be recognized at the upcoming SEC Outdoor Championships, set for later this week at Hutsell-Rosen Track in Auburn, Ala.
