Men's Golf in Vegas for Southern Highlands Collegiate

NORMAN — One of the top annual events in collegiate golf, No. 14 Oklahoma opens March at the Southern Highlands Collegiate in Las Vegas this week. The 54-hole tournament spans three days, opening on Sunday morning as the Sooners tee off against eight teams inside the nation's top 25, including five in the top 10.
The Sooners won the tournament in 2024 and 2022,at the par-72, 7,510-yard track, but only two of the members from the 2024 championship team will tee it up for Oklahoma this week in Jase Summy (runner-up in 2024) and Ryder Cowan.
Head coach Ryan Hybl debuts a lineup headlined by All-Americans Ryder Cowan, Summy and Clark Van Gaalen, along with experienced Sooner PJ Maybank III and true freshman Coltrane Mittag, who made his debut at the spring-opening Puerto Rico Classic after joining the roster in January.
The field includes host UNLV, No. 1 Virginia, No. 2 Auburn, No. 3 Florida, No. 4 Texas, No. 8 Pepperdine, No. 12 Illinois, No. 14 Oklahoma, No. 19 New Mexico, No. 25 San Diego State, No. 29 Texas A&M, No. 31 UCLA, No. 34 Georgia, No. 35 Washington and No. 46 South Carolina.
