Sam Landry was selected by the Volts as the first overall pick in the 2025 Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) Draft.
The Mont Belvieu, Texas, native has a 2.10 ERA with 18-4 record and 147 strikeouts in 143.2 innings worked for the Sooners this year. With 80 career wins, Landry ranks first in NCAA Division I softball among active pitchers in career wins. Landry has worked a career high 14 complete games this season, including a perfect game at No. 23/24 Baylor Feb. 16.
Three times this season Landry was named SEC Pitcher of the Week, earning the honor Feb. 17, March 18 and March 25. A 2024 NFCA All-Region First Team honoree, Landry was honored as an all-conference pitcher three times at Louisiana. Seven times she was tabbed Sun Belt Pitcher of the Week.

About the AUSL
