Sam Landry was named SEC Pitcher of the Week as announced by the conference Tuesday, March 25. Landry has earned the award in consecutive weeks and for the third time this season.
Landry earned complete game wins in both of her appearances at Missouri, spinning a five-inning shutout Friday and a seven-inning complete game Sunday to clinch the series.
The Mont Belvieu, Texas, native struck out nine batters in Sunday's 5-1 win, scattering four hits while not walking a batter. The righty is 9-0 with a 1.04 earned run average, three saves a .168 opponents' batting average and 82 strikeouts.
Landry ranks fifth in the nation in strikeout-to-walk ratio (11.71), third in WHIP (0.71) and tenth in ERA (1.04).
