Men's Golf Set for Fall Finale in Hawai'i

Ka'anapali Classic
Oct. 27-29 / 54 Holes / Maui, Hawai'i / Royal Ka'anapali Golf Courses

NORMAN — Oklahoma men's golf closes its fall season next week in Maui, Hawai'i, at the Ka'anapali Classic, an event the Sooners have won three consecutive years.

OU has dominated the 54-hole tournament at Royal Ka'anapali Golf Course in Lahaina, posting a combined 125-under-par score across the last three editions. The Sooners have claimed the team title in each of their last four appearances (2019, 2022, 2023, 2024) and produced two individual champions during that stretch.

The three-day, 19-team event is scheduled for Oct. 27–29, with 18 holes played each day beginning Monday. Tee times will be released Sunday.

Head coach Ryan Hybl, who enters the week seeking his 50th career victory, will field one of his most experienced lineups. Ryder Cowan leads the team, followed by Clark Van Gaalen, Jase Summy, Matthew Troutman and PJ Maybank III. Cameron Cheek, Asher Whitaker and Adam Anderson (making his debut) will compete as individuals. At the 2024 Ka'anapali Classic, Van Gaalen finished runner-up, Summy tied for sixth, Troutman placed 12th and Cowan tied for 14th.

A win would extend Oklahoma's streak of at least one tournament title to 16 consecutive semesters, the longest in program history.

The field features Hawai?i (host), Boise State, Colorado, CSUN, East Tennessee State, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgia, Gonzaga, Indiana, Kansas, North Florida, No. 21 Oklahoma, Sacramento State, San Jose State, Southern Illinois, TCU, UConn, UC Irvine and Wyoming

Live scoring will be available throughout the tournament on Scoreboard by Clippd
