NORMAN – Oklahoma Softball freshman utility
Ella Parker has been named a top-10 finalist for the 2024 TUCCI/NFCA DI Freshman of the Year award, the organization announced Thursday.
Parker slashes .388/.503/.705 for a 1.208 OPS in her freshman campaign, crushing 10 home runs and 11 doubles while ranking third among her teammates with 47 RBIs. The first-year Sooner leads the club with 15 stolen bases and has scored 47 times. Her .551 weighted on-base average (wOBA) is second on the team while her .434 batting average vs. right-handed pitchers paces Oklahoma.
The top-three finalists will be named on May 23 and the winner will be announced on Tuesday, May 28 prior to the start of the 2024 NCAA Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City.
