NORMAN – The three-time defending national champion Oklahoma softball team has earned the No. 2 overall seed in the 2024 NCAA Division I Softball Championship and will host the NCAA Norman Regional at Love's Field May 17-19, announced by the NCAA on Sunday evening.
The program has been a national seed for each of the past 17 seasons, hosting a regional for the 13th year in a row.
The Sooners host Cleveland State, Oregon and Boston University in Norman beginning Friday, May 17. Oregon and Boston University open the regional at 4:30 p.m. CT Friday (ESPN+) with OU meeting Cleveland State later that evening at 7 p.m. (ESPNU).
Friday's winners will play Game 3 at 2 p.m. on Saturday with the two losing teams from Friday meeting in Game 4 at 4:30 p.m. followed by Game 5 featuring the loser of Game 3 and winner of Game 4 at 7 p.m.
The start time for Sunday's regional final will be announced later this week.
The winner of this weekend's regional will advance to the NCAA Super Regional round against the winner of the Tallahassee Regional, hosted by 15-seed Florida State, the following weekend with the goal of reaching the 2024 Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City.

Patty Gasso's tenure since 1995 (tournament was not played in 2020). The Sooners have advanced to the WCWS each of the past seven seasons.
Season-ticket holders that requested postseason tickets will be charged Monday, May 13th in accordance with the confirmation email they received from the OU Ticket Office.
A limited number of remaining reserved outfield all-session tickets will go on sale to the public on Tuesday at 10 a.m. CT. Outfield all-session tickets will be $70 a piece and will provide admission into each game of the tournament. If tickets remain, single-session seats will go on sale Wednesday at 10 a.m. CT. Orders will be limited to four (4) tickets per customer.
Once all reserved seats have been sold, a limited number of standing-room-only tickets will be sold for each day of competition.
