LAS VEGAS — Oklahoma tees off in its second event of the spring slate on Sunday when it opens the Southern Highlands Collegiate in Las Vegas.

The 54-hole event played annually at Southern Highlands Golf Club hosts 15 teams, eight of which are ranked inside the top 25. The tournament's individual champion receives an exemption into the PGA Tour's Shriners Children's Open, which will take place Oct. 14-20, 2024, at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas.

Oklahoma won the event in 2022 and finished fifth last season.

In its last appearance on the course, No. 15 Oklahoma finished fifth at the Puerto Rico Classic as five Sooner golfers finished inside the top 20.

Head coach Ryan Hybl will look toward a veteran lineup to deliver a strong result for the Sooners. All-Americans Ben Lorenz and Drew Goodman will take the first and second bags, while Jaxon Dowell, Ryder Cowan and Jase Summy round out the Oklahoma contingent.

Admission to the tournament is free.
