Men's Golf Signs Three in 2025 Recruiting Class

November 13, 2024 | Men's Golf

NORMAN – Oklahoma head men's golf coach Ryan Hybl announced the signing of three future Oklahoma men's golfers on Wednesday as the NCAA's early signing period opened.

Standout prep golfers Preston Albee, Adam Anderson and Eli Walker Campbell will all join the Sooners for the 2025-26 season.

Preston Albee, the No. 2 prospect in the state of Oklahoma in the 2025 class, will come to Norman by way of Choctaw High School. The 2024 Oklahoma 6A state champion owns seven AJGA top 10s, three top fives and one win. He was named the 2024 Oklahoma High School Player of the Year by USA Today. He won the OJGT-TJGT Red River Team Challenge individual race, holding off future teammate Ryder Cowan to win the event.

A top-100 player in the 2025 class, Adam Anderson is a three-time Patrick Cantlay Series champion and tabbed as the No. 78 player in the country by Junior Golf Scoreboard. His 61 at the Toyota Tour Cup tied the tournament record with NCAA individual champion and LIV Golf star Matt Wolff. He was named the Ventura County Junior Golf Association player of the year and was a California state amateur quarterfinalist. His sister, Adeline, is a women's golfer at BYU.

Ranked as the No. 72 player in the nation, Eli Walker Campbell is the Sooners' highest-ranked recruit per Junior Golf Scoreboard. The 2024 TAPPS 5A state champion and 2023 runner-up for Fort Bend Christian Academy (Richmond, Texas), Campbell was a finalist for the USA Today High School Sports Award Golfer of the Year. He posted six AJGA top-10 finishes, including a runner-up finish at the Butterfield Bermuda Junior Championship. He finished sixth at the 2024 Elite Invitational, one of the prestigious junior events and was a member of the 2022 Jackie Burke Cup championship-winning team. His older brother, Stephen, is a senior on the Oklahoma men's golf team and his mom, Elissa, played women's basketball for the Sooners.

Oklahoma wrapped up its fall slate last week at the Ka'anapali Classic, where they hoisted the team trophy for the third straight season. Additionally, Hybl's team racked up two more wins during the fall schedule as the Sooners rose to No. 1 in the nation before closing the fall ranked third.

The Sooners return to action in February when they open the spring schedule at the Puerto Rico Classic.
