May 14, 2023 | Rowing

AUSTIN, Texas — The Oklahoma rowing team finished fourth overall at the 2023 Big 12 Rowing Championship, and Lale Edil and Andjela Nisevic earned All-Big 12 honors Sunday morning.

Both Edil and Nisevic picked up their first career All-Big 12 awards. Edil, a junior from Arcadia, Okla., and Nisevic, a senior from Belgrade, Serbia, both compete in the first varsity eight.

After a tight race against conference affiliate Tennessee, the 1V8+ fought till the last stroke and finished fourth. The 2V8+ followed suit and secured fourth place in its race after notching its fastest time of the season. The squads for the 1V4+, 2V4+ and 3V8+ all placed sixth in their respective races.
