Seven Sooners Honored as NWCA Scholar All-Americans

Seven Sooners were named to the NWCA's 2022-23 Scholar All-America Team, the National Wrestling Coaches Association announced Friday.
The list of honorees for Oklahoma includes Jacob Butler, Josh Heindselman, Jared Hill, Mitch Moore, Tate Picklo, Joey Prata, and Mosha Schwartz. The seven grapplers earned their spots on the Scholar All-America Team by having at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA and qualifying for the NCAA Championships in the same academic year.
It's the second time that Butler, Heindselman, Prata, and Schwartz earned the honor. Hill, Moore, and Picklo all received the accolade for the first time.
Oklahoma now has 52 all-time NWCA Scholar All-Americans. Along with the seven Sooners, 284 other collegiate wrestlers were named to the list of honorees.
