The Oklahoma wrestling team was downed 33-3 by No. 8 Missouri at McCasland Field House in Norman on Friday night.Ā

The 22nd-ranked Sooners (7-6, 1-4 Big 12) battled with the Tigers, who boasted a ranked wrestler at every weight class. Oklahoma was victorious at 141 pounds but dropped the remaining nine matches to Missouri (7-2, 6-0 Big 12).

In the most thrilling match of the night, No. 8 Mosha Schwartz toppled No. 7 Allan Hart 6-1. Grabbing the lead early in the top-10 clash, Schwartz dominated the entire 141-pound bout to earn his third straight top-15 win and 10th straight win.

"He came here unranked and is now in the top 10," head coach Lou Rosselli said. "He has done a really nice job, and I was proud of him for how he fought really hard."

In the 125-pound bout, No. 21 Joey Prata fell to No. 13 Noah Surtin 8-0. Despite claiming the lead early in the 133-pound match, No. 27 Wyatt Henson fell short to No. 26 Connor Brown 6-4. No. 18 Mitch Moore slipped 4-2 to No. 6 Brock Mauller after a physical bout was sent into SV-1. Jared Hill was downed 6-3 by No. 8 Jarrett Jacques, 6-3, in the 157-pound clash. In a top-20 battle, No. 17 Gerrit Nijenhuis was pinned by No. 1 Keegan O'Toole at the 4:05 mark. No. 20 Tate Picklo dropped the 174-pound battle to No. 9 Peyton Mocco 12-3, snapping his five-dual winning streak. Keegan Moore fell just short to No. 26 Colton Hawks by a 4-3 decision at 184 pounds. The final two bouts ended in Mizzou's favor, with Carson Berryhill downed by No. 1 Rocky Elam at 197 pounds and No. 14 Josh Heindselman falling short, 2-0, to No. 7 Zach Elam at 285 pounds.

"There's a lot of things that we can do to improve," Rosselli said. "We have to start winning the close ones and being tougher. We're going to have to be more tenacious against Rider this Sunday."

Oklahoma wraps up its home slate against Rider at 1 p.m. CT on Sunday, Feb. 5. The dual is senior day and Healthcare Appreciation Day. Fans can watch the contest on ESPN+.
