Bedlam Set to Close Soccer's Regular Season

NORMAN — Oklahoma closes the regular season on Monday when it travels to Stillwater for Bedlam. First touch vs. the Cowgirls is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN+.

Entering the Big 12's final match day, the Sooners sit in a tie for eighth on the table with 11 points. They're two points clear of Iowa State who is in 11th. The top-10 teams in the league's standings following the regular season qualify for the conference tournament in Round Rock, Texas. A win would officially clinch OU's spot in the tournament field.

Monday's game starts at 7 p.m. CT at Neal Patterson Stadium in Stillwater, Okla. The contest will be available on ESPN+.

Oklahoma vs. Texas — In his first season, head coach Matt Mott is looking to sweep Texas and Oklahoma State in the same season at OU for the first time since 2016, when the Sooners went 3-0 against their rivals.

SEASON STORYLINES

• Bedlam History: Oklahoma trails the all-time Bedlam series 30-9-5, with its last win coming in Norman in 2018. The Sooners' last victory in Stillwater came via a 2-0 result on Oct. 14, 2016. The two sides drew, 2-2, last season in Norman.

• Offensive Outburst: The Sooners have 33 goals on the season, tied for sixth most in program history. The school record is 37 (2005, 2010).

• Boom or Bust: OU is undefeated (7-0-1) when scoring 2+ goals and winless (0-8-1) when scoring one or fewer. Seven of Oklahoma's eight games with 2+ goals have come in Norman.

UP NEXT

If Oklahoma qualifies for the Big 12 Championship, it would play in one of the opening-round matches on Saturday, Oct. 28. The first match, between seeds Nos. 8 and 9 takes place at 1 p.m, followed by the No. 7 vs. No. 10 match at 3:30 p.m. CT. The tournament is held at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex in Round Rock, Texas.
