Dantas Named to MAC Hermann Trophy Defenders to Watch List

Junior Was an All-Region Selection in 2025
NORMAN — Oklahoma Soccer junior defender Fernanda Dantas was named to the Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) Hermann Trophy Defenders to Watch List as announced by the United Soccer Coaches Monday, Aug. 3.
Selections to this list are chosen and released by the Division I All-American Committee. Those on the list include United Soccer Coaches All-Americans and all-region selections from the 2025 season who are slated to return for the 2026 campaign. A total of 40 student-athletes were named to the list. Dantas is one of three players in the Southeastern Conference on the list.
Dantas, a junior from Salvador, Brazil, was as United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region Fourth Team honoree at Marshall last year. Dantas posted 11 assists, the second-most in Marshall single-season history. The All-Sun Belt Conference Second Team pick started 18 matches and played in 24 in two seasons before transferring to Oklahoma ahead of the upcoming season.
Oklahoma plays the first of two exhibition matches Wednesday, Aug. 5 at 8 p.m. against TCU at John Crain Field.
