Five Sooners Named to SEC Soccer Preseason Watchlist

Canty, Dendis, Fults, Keefer and Laccinole Tabbed to Team

NORMAN — The Southeastern Conference (SEC) announced its SEC Soccer Preseason Watch List team Monday, Aug. 10, with five Sooners being tabbed to the list. Elle Canty, Lexi Dendis, Kayla Keefer, Narissa Fults and Ally Laccinole were all selected, comprising a list of Sooners that featured four returners and one newcomer. Two sophomores and three juniors round out OU's five selections.

A Norman native, Canty enters her sophomore season after appearing in all 19 matches and starting 12 for the Sooners as a true freshman. Last year she emerged as a consistent starter during SEC play, finishing with 1,082 minutes played. She tallied a brace Aug. 24 against Tulsa and contributed an assist at Alabama Oct. 2.

Dendis returns for her second year with the Sooners after starting all 19 games in 2025. The junior came up with four goals and five assists last season, posting goals against Texas, Florida, Omaha and Creighton. The junior started her career at Middle Tennessee State in 2024 and was named CUSA Freshman of the Year that season.Ā 

Fults is the lone newcomer on the list and one of two Norman natives selected. A junior, Fults played in 37 matches over two years with the Arizona Wildcats, logging six goals and six assists in over 2,200 minutes in Tucson.

Keefer paced OU in points in 2025, notching 22 with eight assists and seven goals as a sophomore. The forward started 18 matches last year, scoring goals against Alabama, Auburn and Texas in league play.Ā 

Laccinole was an SEC All-Freshman Team selection last season as a standout defender. The sophomore earned SEC Freshman of the Week laurels in her first week of the year in 2025 and earned a spot on the Top Drawer Soccer Top 100 Freshman Midseason List. She started 18 of 19 matches played as a true freshman.Ā 

Oklahoma begins the 2026 regular season at home against Northwestern State Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 7 p.m.
