Wrestling to Host No. 23 West Virginia

The Oklahoma wrestling team returns to McCasland Field House to host No. 23 West Virginia at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20. The dual marks the Sooners' first conference contest of the spring slate, and the matchup will air on ESPN+ with Chad McKee and Jack Spates on the call.
DUAL REMINDERS
The theme for Friday's dual is Military Appreciation Night. Military members, families, and friends can purchase discounted tickets through this link: https://fevo.me/militarywrestling.
Fans who are attending other OU athletic events this weekend can show a ticket from another Sooner event to get a $3 ticket into the dual.
An autograph session featuring Sooner Nation's favorite wrestlers will begin shortly after the dual ends.

The Sooners (6-3, 0-1 Big 12) concluded their trip to the Virginia Duals with three-straight wins over Campbell (22-9), Ohio (33-6) and Navy (28-12) after dropping their opening dual to No. 24 Maryland, 18-16.
KNOW YOUR FOE
No. 23 West Virginia enters the contest with a 7-1 record, including a 24-11 win over then-No. 21 Pitt earlier this month. WVU's lone loss of the season came to then-No. 4 Missouri, 38-3, on the road.
The Mountaineers have four ranked wrestlers, including No. 7 Killian Cardinale at 125 pounds.
BRICK BY BRICK
OU heavyweight, Josh Heindselman, is ranked 18th in the country after rattling off a 12-match win streak that dates back to Nov. 13. Since then, he has tallied four falls, four major decisions and a tech fall.
Joining Heindselman in the win column, Gerrit Nijenhuis has posted seven-straight wins at 165 pounds, including a first-period fall against Edinboro's Alex Garee earlier this month.
